Our Story

Camrose Animal Alliance Rescue Society was born out of necessity in 2020 amid COVID-19. When we first opened, we mainly focused on semi-feral and feral cats. Our goal from the get-go was to help the feral Colonies here in Camrose, AB. Last year, we expanded our intakes to allow dogs and puppies to come into care. CAARS is strictly a foster home based. Since opening, we have helped over 362 animals! In May 2023, we completed our first TNR in Camrose, spaying/neutering 16 adult cats and taking eight kittens and one pregnant female.

We are strictly Volunteer-run; we are a registered nonprofit with the government of Canada, but we cannot issue receipts at this time. We believe in supporting local businesses in the areas we support and service a wide range of sizes, including Camrose, Camrose County, Leduc County, Strathcona, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Bawlf, Bashaw, etc.

We work closely with businesses such as Pet Valu Beaumont, Pet Valu Camrose, Global Foods Camrose, Fika Coffeehouse, Wiggle Wag Grooming, Canine Social House, Camrose Pets with Paws, Brown's Social House, Camrose Starbucks, Camrose Resort and Casino and Lil Buckaroo's in New Sarepta.

Speaking of which, if you are looking at supporting us, feel free to look at our Merchandise, either repping our logo or Slogans. We have clothing for all seasons! Check it out at:

We look forward to continuing to work with our current and any new partnerships in the future!
